Session II: Leveraging Technology to Prevent Fraud and Cybercrime
  Bob Stark
  VP Strategy, Kyriba

Every day we hear more stories about fraud, hacking, and misappropriation of corporate funds. As the guardian of financial assets, Treasury has a significant responsibility to protect financial data and corporate funds from unauthorized access and use.

In this presentation, we will present different ways that a treasury can protect themselves against fraud and cybercrime, including:

  • recognizing and avoiding spear phishing attacks

  • leveraging the cloud to increase data security

  • improving validation and authentication of payments

  • centralizing control of bank accounts, even when finance is decentralized

  • implementing full separation of duties across all treasury workflows

Session III: Treasury Compliance
Stephanie Villatoro
CTP, Senior Consultant, Strategic Treasurer

Leading Practices on Compliance for Treasury. Compliance issues and requirements occupy an increasing amount of time and mindshare for treasury professionals. For corporates these issues range from direct (e.g. FinCEN's FBAR requirements or debt covenants) to indirect impacts (e.g. Basel III capital adequacy requirements). Treasurer's seek to employ leading practices for compliance that offers a framework that enables them to stay informed of emerging and new regulations and enables their teams to comply efficiently and with benefit.
